Traits
Player Traits
Player traits are directly associated with the character creation process. Player traits include mostly innate passive bonuses to various aspects of Ground and Space statistics, however some traits offer an active use ability.(eg Telekinesis)
- The Player's selected Species at character creation may force certain traits on to the character.
- That Species will also have a list of possible optional traits which the Player can add to his/her character.
Bridge Officer Traits
Bridge Officer Traits follow similar rules as Player Traits except that they also have levels of effectiveness. These levels of effectiveness increase the effect of their corresponding Traits.
- Superior
- Normal(No Prefix)
- Basic
Skills
A skill is defined as training requiring either Skill Points or Bridge Officer Skill Points.
Player Skills
Player Skills are INNATE ONLY. Player Skills each have 9 ranks. Player Skills have NO PREREQUISITES. Certain Player Skills unlock Trainable Bridge Officer Skills
Bridge Officer Skills
Bridge Officer Skills are directly linked to their Abilities. Bridge Officer Skill usually refers to the rank of the ability. Bridge Officer Ability usually refers to the ability itself. (eg. I have the Bridge Officer Ability: Torpedo: High Yield II. I have the Torpedo: High Yield II skill trained all the way to rank nine.)
Abilities
Abilities are activate-able attacks, buffs, heals, etc.
Player Abilities
There are two main types of Player Abilities.
- Leveled Abilities
- These abilities are unlocked as your rise in level through the game.
- There are Universal Abilities that all career paths gets.(eg. Evasive Maneuvers)
- There are Specific Abilities that only a single career path gets.(eg. Attack Pattern Alpha)
- Kit Abilities
- These abilities are gifted to the Player from the equipped kit they are wearing.
- Kit abilities are very similar to Bridge Officer Abilities.
- Kit abilities however have different stats and effects than Bridge Officer Abilities depending on their rarity and rank.
Bridge Officer Abilities
Bridge Officer Abilities range from Ground to Space offering damage boosts, heals, buffs, and expose chances.
